A propos de STING
STinG est une ‘pile’ pour l’implémentation du protocole IP sur les ordinateurs de la marque Atari. Stable et relativement facile a installer, STinG peut relier plusieurs ordinateurs sous l’Internet Protocol par tous les port disponibles de votre machine (midi,rs232,parallèle,LAN) et permet l’échange de données rapide et fiable.
De nombreux drivers de port sont livrés dont ceux pour l’échange sériel le SLIP ( serial link internet protocol ) et le PPP ( point to point protocol ). Pour tout autre renseignement, contactez Peter Rottengatter son auteur.
Il existe aujourd’hui un nombre important de logiciels développés pour STinG, principalement des clients IP, qui vous permettent d’accéder aux principaux services de l’InterNet comme le FTP, les NEWS, le SMTP-POP3 (email) ou le WEB (WorldWideWeb).
Le produit phare de mes développements est un serveur WEB pour STinG, WebLight, seul à ma connaissance.Il peut être appelé sur une même machine sous environnement multitâche pour sa mise au point ou par n’importe quelle machine extérieure relié en IP.
